Oman Investment Authority denies social media rumour

Muscat: The Omani Investment Authority (OIA) denied what is being circulated about pumping money into Salam Air.

OIA said in a statement: "The Omani Investment Authority was informed of what was circulated on social media about the Authority's pumping of sums into SalamAir, and the agency would like to state that this information is incorrect and that the OIA has no relationship to the aforementioned company except for indirect shares owned by both Assas and Tanmia company."

" OIA commends the public’s interest in this issue, and calls on everyone to verify the validity of any information before circulating it in a way that achieves the public interest and avoids all legal consequences," The Omani Investment Authority OIA added.
