Temperature rises above 48 degrees in several places across Oman

Muscat: A number of monitoring stations are recording temperatures between 48 and 49 degrees Celsius today.

Oman Meteorology said: "Some monitoring stations of the Civil Aviation Authority are now recording high temperatures, reaching up to 49 degrees Celsius at the Al Suninah and Hamra Al-Duru` stations, and 48 degrees Celsius in Ibri, Fhud and Qarn Al-Alam stations."

The five highest temperatures recorded yesterday were Wilayat Al Suninah at 49.8 degree, 49.6 in Ibri, 49.5 in Hamra Al Duru', and 49.4 in Qarn Alam.
