Fishing boats seized for violations in Oman

Muscat: A number of fishing boats were seized for various violations in Dhofar Governorate.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources (MAFWR) said: "The fisheries control team in Dhofar Governorate was able to seize a number of artisanal fishing vessels in violation of the Live Fisheries Wealth Law and its executive regulations regarding not installing number plates and employing expat workers without licenses. Legal action will be taken against the violators."
