Attempt to smuggle drugs into Oman foiled

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into Oman.

A statement issued online by ROP said: "The Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, led by Dhofar Governorate Police, with the support of the Special Task Forces of Salalah, thwarts the smuggling of large quantities of the drug ‘khat’ off the shores of Mirbat."
