Muscat: Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion held a virtual meeting with the State Minister of Regional Cooperation in the Republic of Sri Lanka.
"His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, reviewed with His Excellency Tharaka Balasuriya, State Minister of Regional Cooperation in the Republic of Sri Lanka, the relations between the two countries and discussed strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation," an online statement by Oman News Agency said.
"A proposal was made to establish a direct line between Oman and Sri Lanka with the aim of direct export of Omani products and direct import of Sri Lankan products through the ports of the two countries," added the statement.
