Man arrested for vehicle related thefts in Oman

Muscat: A person has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on charges of committing several vehicle related thefts in Oman.

"The Directorate General of Inquiries and Investigations , led by the Muscat Governorate Police, has arrested a person for several vehicle related thefts. He targeted unlocked vehicles and stole cash, phones and personal belongings from inside. Legal procedures are being completed against him," ROP said in a statement.

The ROP advises citizens and residents not to leave their vehicles running, that they are locked before getting off, and not to leave cash and valuables in a visible place inside.
