Muscat: An earthquake was recorded in Southern Iran on Monday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University.
A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with a magnitude of 5.7, at 6.29 am MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 908 km away from Khasab."
