Muscat: An agreement has been signed by Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) with the National Energy Centre to transform Knowledge Oasis Muscat into a smart city.
"Knowledge Oasis Muscat, the technology arm of Madayn, has signed an agreement with the National Energy Centre to provide Internet of Things (IoT), solutions for the oasis and enable it to transform into a smart city," Madayn said in a statement.
The agreement was signed by Eng Jaafar bin Mohammed Al Ajmi, Director General of the Oasis, and Eng Abdullah bin Rashid Al Badi, CEO of the Centre.
The agreement aims to launch an initiative to transform Muscat Knowledge Oasis into a smart city by adopting and applying modern technologies and Internet of Things solutions, and benefiting from the technical expertise of the National Energy Centre in the field of Internet of Things and consultancy related to smart city projects and communication network infrastructure.
