Muscat: A large group of volunteers from MHD-ITICS, the Infrastructure, Technology, Industrial, and Consumer Solutions cluster of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC, comprising members of its staff, led by their Chairperson, Honorable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, and accompanied by the cluster’s CEO and individual division heads, took part in the clean-up of some areas within the Muscat Governorate, in the aftermath of tropical cyclone Shaheen.

The clean-up effort, which took place on 4 October 2021, was also addressed by His Excellency Mohammad Al Kindi, Deputy Governor of Muscat, who expressed his appreciation for the initiative by the volunteers.
Commenting on the clean-up, Honourable Lujaina Darwish said, “As a proud Omani company we feel it is part of our wider community responsibility to offer our assistance in such a time of need. Such worthy efforts from all volunteers on the day are certainly commendable and remind us of our collective sense of responsibility towards our society.”

The clean-up effort saw the volunteers safely clear debris left in the wake of the cyclone. By doing so, they hope to speed up the recovery process and return the capital to normal as soon as possible.

Further, the Honourable Lujaina Darwish said, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those suffering from the unprecedented impact of tropical cyclone Shaheen. This clean-up is only part of our effort and the full MHD-ITICS team stands ready to assist those hit hardest by this devastating storm."
