Classes, exams suspended in some governorates due to forecast of heavy rains

Muscat: A decision to suspend classes and exams, scheduled for Tuesday has been made due to the heavy rains forecast in some governorates.

The directorates of education in the governorates of Muscat, South Al Sharqiah and Al-Batinah issued a statement that said: With reference to the statement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority on heavy rain that is likely to fall between Monday night and Tuesday, in order to preserve the safety of students and staff, and in light of coordination that took place with the officials of the Ministry; It was decided to suspend studies and exams in schools for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, and South Al Sharqiyah,

Oman TV said in a statement, "The Ministry of Education has decided to suspend studies and exams in all public and private schools tomorrow, Tuesday, in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, except for the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta."
