Muscat: The Arab Specialised Eye, Nose, Throat and Dental Hospital was opened in the Muscat Governorate on Saturday.
A statement issued by Oman News Agency, said : “The Arab Specialised Eye, Nose, Throat and Dental Hospital was opened under the patronage of Sheikh Seba’a bin Hamdan Al Saadi, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Celebrations, in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of officials in the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt.”
The Secretary-General of the Higher Committee for Celebrations confirmed that the hospital represents a qualitative addition to the private health sector in the Sultanate, and provides many medical services in the field of ophthalmology, ear, nose, throat and teeth.
He added that the hospital also reflects the tireless efforts made by the concerned authorities to promote investments in the country, within the framework of the Oman’s plans to achieve economic diversification, and to translate the efforts to achieve the goals of the future vision “Oman 2040”.
Professor Ahmed Reda, a member of the Omani-Egyptian Businessmen Council, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Health in promoting investments in the health sector, stressing the close cooperation between the hospital and the ministry in many fields.
Reda explained that the opening of the hospital comes on the agenda of the Omani-Egyptian Business Council, expressing his hope for more investment and economic cooperation between Oman and Egypt.
Al Arabi Eye Hospital is located in Al-Wattayyah area in the Governorate of Muscat. It is a joint Omani-Egyptian investment project, which includes a constellation of experts specialising in eye diseases and vision correction, as well as multiple optics services, retinal surgeries, LASIK, black and white surgeries, paediatric surgeries, strabismus, and implantation of all types of lenses and surgeries of nose, throat and dental surgeries.
