Scholarships open to students in Oman looking to pursue higher education in India

Muscat: Students in Oman who wish to apply for scholarships to pursue their higher education in India can do from after 10 February, the Embassy of India in Muscat has said.

Applications for scholarships open this Thursday, and will be accepted until 30 April 2022.

The scholarships are being offered by the Indian Council on Cultural Relations (ICCR), a government body that aims to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding, and to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people.

“ICCS is offering scholarships for the academic year 2022-23 to students who would like to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D studies in various fields at Indian universities,” said a statement from the embassy.

Interested candidates must display proficiency in English, be between 18 and 30 years of age, and meet the eligibility criteria indicated on the official websites of the participating universities.
