Muscat: The Ministry of Labour urged all establishments employing 50 workers or more to appoint an Omani to oversee occupational health and safety work.

The Ministry said in a statement: " With reference to the Ministerial Decision No. (4/2021 ) amending some provisions of the regulations for occupational safety and health measures in establishments and companies subject to the Labour Law to appoint an Omani to supervise occupational health and safety work for every 50 workers/employees by January 2022, the Ministry of Labour would like to emphasise on the need to comply with the ministerial decision. "

Companies can also benefit from the various support funding opportunities provided by the ministry for training programmes associated with employment or on - the - job training in coordination with the Oman Society for Petroleum Services.
