Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked third in the Middle East and North Africa in renewable energy, 15th among emerging economies, and 38th globally, according to the 2021 Climate Scope assessment published by Bloomberg Agency.
Oman News Agency ONA said: "The evaluation included 136 countries worldwide and focused on investment conditions in diversifying energy sources, as it assesses the ability of countries to attract capital for low-carbon technologies while building a greener economy."
The Sultanate of Oman's attainment of this position comes as a result of its adoption of an ambitious strategy to diversify its energy sources by expanding renewable energy projects in a way that benefits the environment and reduces carbon emissions.
