30 houses to be built for those affected by Cyclone Shaheen

Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed an agreement to support the construction of 30 housing units for the affected people in Suwaiq and Al Khaboura at a cost of more than OMR 1 million.

The ministry said: "As part of the community partnership between the public and private sectors in mitigating the effects of Hurricane Shaheen, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al Mutawa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Urban Planning signed an agreement with Al Jisr Foundation to establish 30 housing units for citizens whose homes were affected by the hurricane in the wilayats of Suwaiq and Al Khaboura in North Al Batinah Governorate, at a cost of more than OMR 1 million.”

The construction of these houses comes is part of the Ministry’s initiative to build 328 housing units for citizens whose homes were affected by Cyclone Shaheen in the North Al Batinah Governorate, in locations that are safe from any future effects of climatic conditions.
