Oman weather: Rain falls in many parts of Sultanate

Muscat: Rain fell in Bahla, Shank and nearby areas in the afternoon, a weather enthusiast quoting residents said.
"Wadis overflowed and roads were cut in some areas partially," Bader Ali Al Baddaei, an administrator of www.rthmc.net, a local Web-based forum that discusses weather in Oman, told the Times of Oman.
In yesterday's rain four people were trapped in a vehicle in an overflowing wadi in Andam and were later rescued.
While rain fell in Mudhaibi leading to overflowing of wadis and disruption of traffic in the region, Manah and Andam were hit by sandstorms.
“It rained in the afternoon and it was windy too. In many places traffic was cut due to overflowing of wadis,” Mussab Al Wahaibi from WeatherOman, a twitter handle which discusses weather patterns in Oman, said yesterday.
