Sultan Qaboos University Hospital denies rumors

Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) has denied rumors that circulated on social media platforms about the hospital’s refusal to hand over a girl’s body to her family unless after paying the due fees.

"Referring to what is being circulated in some social media about the hospital administration’s refusal to hand over the body of a girl who died unless after paying the due fees, we report that this is not true. The body was handed over to the girl’s family on the same day of death," SQUH said in a statement.

The hospital calls for the need to investigate accuracy, credibility and respect for patients’ privacy.
