Muscat: Talented young rally driver Abdullah Al Rawahi puts challenging target for himself to finish the Jordan International rally, the fourth round of middle East rally championship at top and to reach the podium at the end of the race.
Al Rawahi on Skoda Fabia R5 setting beside Jordanian co-driver Atta ALHamood is ranked currently in position 3 overall MERC standing after leaving last rally in Kuwait who been forced for early retirement due to technical problem and engine overheating of the car.
The rally consists of 12 stages in Jordan River and Dead Sea area, where 3 stages which is repeated 3 time will be held on Friday 20 th of this month and the remaining 3 stages will be repeated 3 times also on Saturday 21 st .
Abdullah Al Rawahi who owned 54 points in this championship before entering this rally and who is sponsored by Ministry of culture, sports, youth and Sohar International and Al Manar Financial investments and Motel, mentioned that he will do his best efforts to come back with good result from Jordan and he is looking forward to start the rally as he does know very well Jordan terrain and stages which he will definitely get the support from his Jordanian base and citizen co-driver Atta Al Hamood to compete in big championship like this."
This rally will skip the participation of the other Omani driver Zakaria Al Amri who registered in the entry list in the beginning, but suddenly withdraw due to lack of financing and support to this participation in Jordan rally as the rally car needs a lot of accessories and parts during the rally.
