One arrested for possessing psychotropic substances

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested an expat for possessing narcotic substances  and for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally.

ROP said in a statement: "The  Department for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, commanded by the Police of South Al Batinah Governorate, in cooperation with the Special Task Force Unit in Wadi Al-Maawil, arrested an Asian on charges of participating with an international gang to smuggle narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking and entering the country illegally. The police seized 49 kilograms of hashish and 194 tablets of psychotropic substances in his possession. The legal procedures are being completed against him."
