Muscat: The Port of Salalah received today the Italian cruise ship Aida Cosma with 4,507 tourists onboard as part of its tourism programme in a number of ports around the world.
The italian ship is coming from the Egyptian port and is heading to the port of Sultan Qaboos in the Governorate of Muscat. The programme in Dhofar will include tours of the most important archaeological, tourist and historical monuments for which the Governorate of Dhofar is famous, in addition to visiting the beaches and traditional markets in Salalah.
The Italian ship is one of the largest cruise ships in the world and this is the first time it has docked in the ports of the Sultanate of Oman.
It is worth noting that Oman witnesses visits by many cruise ships annually due to its distinguished marine location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman.
