Muriya collaborates with renowned SB Architects on next stage of Hawana Salalah Masterplan

Muscat: Muriya, Oman’s most diversified real estate developer, has engaged leading international architecture and design practice SB Architects, to design the next stage of development at Hawana Salalah. Slated to be launched soon, the one million sq. m2 game-changer will be the biggest residential project at Hawana Salalah to date.

Muriya, the developer of Hawana Salalah and Jebel Sifah, is a partnership between the internationally acclaimed developer of fully-integrated towns, Orascom Development Holding (ODH) and the leading government arm for tourism development in Oman, Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN). ODH prowess spans three continents as developers of luxurious waterfront destinations including El Gouna, Egypt; Andermatt, Switzerland; Luštica Bay, Montenegro; as well as Hawana Salalah and Jebel Sifah in Oman to name but a few.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty and diversity of Oman and the deep connection its people have with the land, SB Architects along with Muriya’s team will create an authentic and organic feeling design, which fits seamlessly with the natural features of the site. Promising to be the anchor project of Muriya’s flagship destination, Hawana Salalah, the new beach-facing residential project will feature four neighbourhoods, with distinct characteristics, leisure amenities, new hotels and more offering resort living at its finest for its residents.

Seif El Khouly, Muriya Chief Development Officer, said, “From conception to completion, we have been dedicated to the highest quality standards when it comes to the development of our flagship destination, Hawana Salalah. We believe that our ability to provide such quality, while also further raising the benchmark, partly comes from our commitment to work with talented and world class professionals. Hence, we are happy to collaborate with the renowned SB Architects with whom we already have a longstanding working relationship as we successfully engaged them in the development of ORASCOM Holding’s signature projects in Egypt. This latest collaboration will further add to the cutting-edge design of an Integrated Tourism Complex that is fit for purpose and further contribute to the quality of life of its residents, visitors, tourists and surrounding communities, while simultaneously boosting the economic vitality of one of Oman’s and the region’s most sought-after destinations.”

Richard Collings, Vice President of SB Architects said, “Using Oman’s diverse topography and the Omani people’s deep affinity with nature as a springboard, we imagined an authentic, luxury development, expressed through four different and distinct residential zones. We’re excited to embark on this journey together with Muriya, whose vision and guidance has led to the creation a one-of-a-kind destination, where residents will discover and embrace the spirit of the region, against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes.”

Hawana Salalah offers a variety of real estate options including villas, townhouses, and apartments, along with a marina, and an abundance of outdoor space. Hawana Aqua Park, Oman’s first water theme park, has been hugely popular since its opening and comes equipped with a kid’s play area and additional dining options. The destination also features a series of hotels, restaurants, nightlife options, an aqua hut with beach courts, water sports and many other leisure activities for all visitors to enjoy.
