Muscat: OCT Ruwi beat Orient Travels by 48 runs in the A Division League powered by Khimji Ramdas and Design Group brushed past Manis CT by 2 runs in the B Division League powered by Al Ansari Group of Companies.
Orient Travels elected to field after winning the toss. Orient Travels picked 2 wickets in the powerplay with the score tinkering at 32/2.
Zubair Al Balushi scored a half century to hold the OCT Ruwi innings. Wasim Al Balushi’s 33 of 19 balls helped OCT Ruwi post 236 runs at the end of the innings. Ibrar Hussain bagged 3 wickets and Tanveer Rana, Syed Amir Ali and Qayyum Mudasir claimed 2 wickets each.
In response, Orient Travels lost 2 wickets within 5 balls in the 5th and 6th over but Adil Khan and Ibrar Hussain stitched an 83-run partnership putting Orient Travels ahead in the chase.
Zubair Al Balushi and Nawed Al Balushi claimed 3 wickets-a-piece to bundle down Orient Travels at 188 short of the target by 48 runs.

In the B division clash, Design Group won the toss and elected to bat first. Design Group found themselves in trouble with 3 of their top order batters back in the hut within the powerplay. However, a 130 run stand and half centuries by Alif Khan and Altaf Mohammed and a quick fire 39 by Nishan S took them to a respectable total of 225 runs.
Rana Zeeshan and Aneek Chakraborty picked 2 wickets each for Manis CT. In response, Manis CT lost their first 3 batsmen within the powerplay. However, Krishna Pradhan and Adnan UlHaq’s half-centuries helped Manis CT get back onto the chase. Samir Osman’s quickfire 34 of just 22 brought them close but left them 2 runs short of the target.
Akhil Anilkumar and Midhun Sathyan were the pick of the bowlers for Design Group bagging 4 wickets and 2 wickets respectively.
