Muscat: A citizen was arrested on suspicion of killing a female citizen in North Al Batinah Governorate.
"A citizen was arrested on suspicion of committing the murder of a female citizen in the Wilayat of Liwa in Al Batinah North Governorate. The legal procedures are being completed against him," Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement.
During December 2022, four stabbing incidents occurred tragically in Oman.
The Royal Oman Police arrested on December 7, 2022, a citizen on charges of assaulting a female citizen with a knife in the Wilayat of Seeb, as a result of family disputes between them, which resulted in her death.
On December 12, 2022, the police announced the arrest of a citizen after he stabbed a female citizen with a knife, which led to her death in the Wilayat of Ibri, Al Dhahirah Governorate.
On Saturday, December 17, 2022, the Royal Oman Police arrested a female citizen in the Wilayat of Shinas in the North Al Batinah Governorate, after she assaulted one of her relatives with a knife due to family disputes. The accident resulted in the injury of a person with multiple injuries, as a result of which he was transferred to the hospital.
The Royal Oman Police published through its official account on Twitter on December 18, 2022 that it had arrested a citizen after he assaulted a female employee with a knife while performing her work in a local bank in Dhofar Governorate.
