Members of Municipal Council in North Al Batinah Governorate take oath, elect vice-chairman
The Municipal Council of North Al Batinah Governorate held its first meeting for the third term, chaired by His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and in the presence of the members.
During the meeting, the members of the Council took oath for the third term, in addition to electing the Vice-President of the Council and forming permanent committees. His Excellency the Governor of North Al Batinah, Chairman of the Council, spoke at the beginning of the meeting about Ministerial Resolution No. 44/2022 issuing the executive regulations for the Municipal Councils Law and clarifying a number of articles of the regulations that clarify the work mechanism for the municipal councils.
The Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Council in North Al Batinah was chosen using the "Tanmia" application, which was launched for the first time. Abdullah bin Yahya Al Jabri won this position with 14 votes out of a total of 21 members.
The permanent committees of the council were also formed and the heads of the committees were selected, represented by the Legal Affairs Committee, the Social Affairs Committee, the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, and the Governorate Development Committee.
Seminar organised to introduce Rifi product in Musandam Governorate
The Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in the Governorate of Musandam, in cooperation with the Oman Development Bank, organised a "Rifi Seminar" to empower rural women's projects for agricultural, fisheries and related products.
The activities of the seminar were sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Said bin Humaid Al Harthy, Governor of Khasab.
Engineer Hussain bin Ali Al Shehhi, Director of the Department of Agriculture , Fisheries and Water Resources in Khasab, praised in his speech the role played by rural women in highlighting their products and raising their quality, in addition to the role played by the Directorate General of Agriculture , Fisheries and Water Resources in Musandam Governorate to empower rural women through empowerment programmes that it implements throughout the year.
Mubarak bin Rashid Al Maamari, Director of the Oman Development Bank, Khasab, gave a visual presentation in which he dealt with the bank's services and financing programmes in support of rural women's projects. He also discussed the financing loans offered by the bank.
Municipal Council in Al Buraimi Governorate chooses deputy for its president
The Municipal Council in Al Buraimi Governorate held its first extraordinary meeting, at the opening of the third session of the municipal councils, headed by His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi.
The door for candidacy for the deputy head of the municipal council was opened. The voting results resulted in Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Jabri obtaining the position of deputy head of the municipal council in the governorate.
Specialists from the Ministry of the Interior gave an overview of the "Tanmia" application, which was created with the aim of voting for the nomination of the Vice-President of the Municipal Council electronically. The council's permanent committees were also formed, which are the Governorate Development Committee, the Legal Committee, the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, and the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee.
