Oman condemns burning of Holy Quran copy by extremists in Sweden

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its strong condemnation of extremists’ burning a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Oman voiced it denunciation of such provocative actions that provoke Muslims’ feelings and incite violence and hatred.

In this context, Oman stressed the need for concerted international efforts to consolidate the values of tolerance, coexistence and respect.

Oman also lays emphasis on criminalizing all acts that promote the ideology of extremism and hatred or offend religions and beliefs.
