Infrastructure development  gathers momentum in South Al Batinah Governorate

Al Rustaq: With an investment of OMR5.738 million, work is underway for the development of several service facilities, internal roads, installation of lighting poles and other landscaping projects in the South Al Batinah Governorate.

The development projects are part of the programme to keep abreast with the Phase I of the 10th Five-year plan.

Sheikh Saif bin Himyar Al Malik Al Shahi, Governor of South Al Batinah, said that the Governorate has focused during the past year on the growth of investments, mainly the  Nakhal Mall project in the Wilayat of Nakhal, an integrated entertainment project in the Wilayat of Al Mussanah, an integrated commercial, entertainment and tourism complex in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq, development of Ain Al Kasfah site in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq, investment in land plots in the Wilayat of Barka, among other project.

He said that work is also going on Phase I for the development of Ain Al Kasfa hot spring, road lighting works at the main road from Hay Al Sarh roundabout  to Al Sahtan Roundabout, the design and construction of Al Hoqain – Meli Road (Phase 1), the design and construction of internal roads (package 3, supply and installation of lighting poles, installation of box culverts at the courses of the wadis in Al Hoqain area among other projects in the various wilayats of South Al Batinah Governorate.
