
No Omanis injured in earthquake, says Oman's Ambassador in Syria
His Excellency Sayyid Turki bin Mahmoud Al-Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic, said in a telephone interview with “Ma’a Al Shabiba” that no one from the Omani Embassy in Syria were affected by the devastating earthquake. The Ambassador explained that the Embassy has not yet received any communications or reports from Omani citizens in Syria. The Embassy issued a statement including the phone numbers of the Embassy to submit reports and receive communications from Omani citizens in Syria.
Seven human trafficking cases detected in Oman in 2022
Captain Khalid bin Ali Tabuk, Head of the Human Trafficking Department at the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations of the Royal Oman Police (ROP), revealed the criminal level of human trafficking and how it can be described locally and globally. He said that the Sultanate of Oman's criminal level in human trafficking is very low, according to statistics prepared by the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations.
