Labour Minister clarifies stance regarding three-day weekend in Oman

Currently there is no intention to increase the weekend holiday to three days instead of two days in the Sultanate of Oman, said the Minister of Labour. This came as part of the Shura Council’s discussion of the statement of His Excellency Dr. Mahad Ba’awin, Minister of Labour, during the seventh regular session of the fourth annual session (2022-2023) of the ninth term of the Council (2019-2023), chaired by His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of their Excellencies members.

The job requirement of the future market in the Sultanate of Oman will be in areas of data analysis, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, robotics engineering, 3D printing, alternative energy engineering, stated HE Sheikh Sultan bin Humaid Al Hosani.
