Muscat: Nine people have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on charges of theft in South Al Batinah and Al Dakhiliyah governorates.
ROP said in a statement: “South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested four Asians on charges of vandalism and stealing sums of money from several shops in wilayat of Al Musanna and Nakhal."
In another incident, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command managed to arrest four people on charges of theft under duress in the Wilayat of Nizwa, and arrested one accused of stealing electric cables from a farm in the Wilayat of Bahla.
ROP added: The legal procedures against the accused are underway.
