Royal Oman Police makes several arrests across the Sultanate

Muscat: A citizen and several expats have been arrested on charges of possessing khat, electronic cigarettes and alcoholic beverages across the Sultanate of Oman, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said: “Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen on charges of possessing 236 packages of khat drug with the intention of trading in it, and the legal procedures against him are underway.”

In Muscat Governorate, the Investigation and Risk Assessment Department raided a site for expatriate workers in the Wilayat of Al Amerat and seized large quantities of electronic cigarettes and their accessories.

Previously, the Investigation and Risk Assessment Department raided a site for expatriate workers in the Wilayat of Baushar and seized more than 5,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages, which were hidden inside the targeted house and the vehicle for the purpose of trafficking in it.
