Muscat: Thunderstorms are expected over parts of the Sultanate of Oman during the next two days, Oman Meteorology said on Saturday.
Oman Meteorology said in its weather forecast that it is likely that clouds will flow over most of the governorates of the Sultanate. Cumulus clouds will form on the Al Hajar Mountains and parts of the Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates, as well as chances of thunderstorms during the next two days.
"Active northwesterly winds (20-25) knots are expected to blow over most of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, leading to rising dust and clouds and low level of horizontal visibility. Sea state will be rough along most of the coasts of the Sultanate, with maximum wave height ranging between 2-3 meters, " Oman Meteorology added.
