Muscat: As part of the student research subsidy programme, The Research Council (TRC) approved 41 research proposals for students of the fourth year at a cost of OMR73,282
The Research Council received 180 research proposals through the electronic system for application used by the higher education institutions.
Academic institutions
The research proposals submitted by 18 academic institutions were distributed in six research categories; nine within the energy and industry sector, five within health and social service sectors, nine within environment and biological resources sector, nine at the culture, social, science and basic sectors, six within communication and Information and Technology sector and three within education and
human resources sector.
The number of university students that took part in these research proposals stood at 122 distributed onto research teams for each research proposals.
The total number of research projects funded by TRC from 2013 to 2016 stood at 251 at a cost of OMR516,606.
