Two arrested for stealing mobiles across Oman

Muscat: Two people have been arrested on charges of stealing mobile phones in separate cases, one in Musandam and another Al Dhahirah Governorate, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

Royal Oman Police said in a statement: “The Musandam Governorate Police Command arrested an Asian on charges of stealing valuable mobile phones from the commercial dock in Khasab Port and trying to smuggle them out of the governorate.”

In another case, Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen on theft charges from three shops selling mobile phones in separate locations in the Wilayat of Ibri.

ROP added that the legal procedures against the accused are underway.
