Two new tourist stations open in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate

Muscat: In order to receive visitors and provide an enjoyable and distinctive tourism experience, and within the framework of the activities of the Al Ashkharah Forum, the unified tourist station was opened in the wilayats of Al Kamil and Al-Wafi, along with the Ras Al-Hadd station. 

The stations aim to introduce visitors to South Al Sharqiyah Governorate's heritage and important tourist places, receive visitors and provide an exciting and enjoyable experience.

The activities of Ajwa Al Ashkharah kicked off on July 5th and will last till July 24, 2023.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Ali Al Hinai, deputy governor of al-Kamil and al-Wafi, and member of the main organising committee of the Al-Ashkharah Forum, said on the occasion of the station’s inauguration: “The station provides a number of promotional and entertainment services and activities for the station's visitors, visitors and tourists heading to Ajwaa Al-Ashkharah forum in the Wilayat of Ja'alan Bani Bu Ali, introducing them to its programmes and events, as well as informing them of the most important tourist destinations in the rest of the governorate's wilayats.

“The station includes posts for a number of government agencies, and exhibitions for productive families, in addition to providing a number of basic services. The station is a resting and crossing point for those coming to the Al Ashkharah, passing through the wilayats of Al Kamil and Al Wafi, Jalan Bani Bu Hasan and Jalan Bani Bu Ali,” he added

Al Hinai explained: “It also contains a specialised media centre that provides information about tourist sites in the wilayats of Al Kamil and Al Wafi. The importance of concerted efforts and community partnership for the success of the events accompanying the forum. The station is ready to receive visitors during from 10 amto 10 pm, throughout the period of Ajwaa Al-Ashkhara Forum.”
