HM the Sultan receives written message from President of Mauritania

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received a written message from the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on Tuesday, July 18,2023.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik received a written message from His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, pertaining to the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

 The message was received by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his meeting today with the envoy of the Mauritanian President, His Excellency Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad.

 During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields and ways of enhancing and developing them to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

 The meeting was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al-Marhoon, Head of the Department of the League of Arab States, HE Ambassador Mohamed Vall, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from both sides.
