Alizz Islamic Bank participates in the Oman Islamic Banking Forum

Muscat: Alizz Islamic Bank, represented by the Shari’a Compliance and Audit Department recently participated in the Oman Islamic Banking Forum that was organized by Al Roya. This is part of the banks belief in educating the public about Islamic finance and its pivotal role, while highlighting the importance of Islamic banks in driving sustainable economy and providing researchers and scholars with knowledge on Islamic economy in general and the local market under the umbrella of ‘Manar Alizz’ initiatives.

Mr. Issa bin Salim Al-Riyami, Head of Shari’a Audit and Compliance at Alizz Islamic Bank delivered a presentation showcasing Alizz Islamic Bank’s journey and progress in the past decade. Mr. Yassir bin Mohammed Al Maawali, Deputy CFO of the bank also participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Towards an Islamic Banking sector that meets the priorities of the future’.

The Manar Alizz initiative, which has been designed to achieve the strategic direction of educating members of the society about Islamic banking products, encourage banking innovation, and enable the bank’s experts to generate and share knowledge in their various fields of expertise. It is one of the banks most valuable intangible assets that Alizz Islamic Bank is keen to develop further, sharing knowledge of Islamic Finance and business as a platform for sustainability under the pillar of education.
