Two arrested for attempting to smuggle over 1,500 packages of drugs into Oman

Muscat : Two smugglers were arrested for attempting to smuggle more than 1,500 packages of khat drug into the Sultanate of Oman, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

ROP said in a statement :"The Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate seized a boat with two Arab nationals on board while they were trying to smuggle more than 1,500 packages of the khat. The legal proceedings are being completed against them."
