Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Sunday held a telephonic conversation with Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
The phone call focused on the development of regional and global attitudes towards Israel's brutal aggression and illegal siege on the Gaza Strip, as well as the risk escalation in the region as a result.
The two agreed on the importance of intensifying political efforts to achieve a de-escalation, a ceasefire and resumption of humanitarian action to provide relief to the population in the Gaza Strip, as well as efforts to provide the population there with living needs. They also looked into ways to support the voice of truth and achieve justice for the Palestinian people, in general, and to empower them with the right to self-determination.
The two sides stressed that Israel’s persistent violation of rules of the international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter necessitate an immediate international response to address such violations—by all available means—and to hold Israel accountable for the breaches.
In a separate call:
His Excellency the Foreign Minister made a telephone call to his Spanish counterpart, during which he expressed his appreciation for the noble positions adopted by the Spanish government against the just Palestinian cause.
In the call, they also discussed the efforts made to contain the current escalation in the region and focus on exerting all pressures aimed at stopping the violence and random war by Israel on the Gaza strip.
