Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre obtains IFS Food Safety Quality Certification

Muscat: Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre obtained the International Food Safety Standard Certification (ISO 22000:2018) following a year of continuous work to develop quality standards in the field of food safety.

This international recognition came after a comprehensive and extensive external audit process by the global food safety auditing company.

Eng. Said Salim Al Shanfari, CEO of Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, said: “The center’s obtaining this certificate represents a major milestone in the continuous endeavor and commitment to international standards to maintain the safety of visitors, organisers, and all consumers at the center”.

The number of visitors to Oman Convention and Exhibition Center during the past year (2023) reached about 1.5 million visitors, which confirms the pivotal role of the center as an important platform for events.
