Weather update: Isolated rainfall to continue across Oman

Muscat: Several governorates of the Sultanate of Oman may witness isolated rainfall leading to the flow of valleys and reefs on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, said Oman Meteorology.

The latest forecasts and analyzes of the National Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre indicate chances of isolated rainfall in parts of the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, and on the Al Hajar Mountains, leading to the flow of valleys and reefs on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

The weather condition is expected to be accompanied by:

1. Isolated rainfall ranging between 5 to 30 mm, leading to overflowing reefs and valleys.

2. Active downward winds may range between 15-30 knots.

 3. Sea waves are expected to rise to reach 1.25-2.5 meters on most coasts.
