Ras Al Madrakah near Duqm is becoming a favourite camping spot for many as outdoor fans are seen flocking to this beach and setting up tents to have a night out with nature.
It is more breezy, misty, and a lot cool in this coastal area down Sur than the northern coast of Oman owing to the presence of monsoon clouds during the summer months.
The temperature drops to as low as 250C here while it is 40 plus in Muscat. The scenery here is stunningly attractive and it is a good fishing spot too where you can enjoy the beautiful soft sand and waves on a weekend camping day out.

Starting from Muscat you can drive pass Bidbid, Al Mudhaibi, Adam, Mahut, and Duqm to reach Ras Al Madrakah.
On the northern side are the black-ophalite rocky mountains and on the southern part are three headlands. It is a tapering piece of land projecting into the Indian Ocean, less prominent than a cape. A good spot for camping this summer. —[email protected]
