Muscat: The Tender Board on Wednesday awarded a number of tenders and additional works for the implementation of development projects worth OMR87.73 million.
The business tasks were awarded during the Tender Board’s second meeting of the year, headed by Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Chairman of the board.
Key works that were endorsed included a tender for the design and construction of 12 school buildings in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman (OMR20,950,094), a framework contract to appoint a law firm to represent the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (OMR9,750,000), a project to construct Al Mughsayl Road and Bridge in Dhofar Governorate (OMR9,110,540), a contract for complementary works of the Dhofar Municipality Building (OMR7,030,445) and a project to build and maintain housing units in the Wilayat of Shaleem W’al-Halaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate (OMR4,451,633).
The works also included consultancy services and designs for an integrated sports city project (OMR4,231,925) and the supply of heart surgery equipment for Ministry of Health facilities (OMR4,226,987).
