Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has condemned Israel’s persistent attempts to exclude the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Oman also rejected Israel’s attempt to label the UNRWA as a terrorist organisation.
Oman cautioned against the negative consequences of such attempts aimed at undermining the UNRWA and the international agency’s role in supporting more than two million Palestinians whose livelihoods are seriously limited.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, Oman valued the efforts made by the UNRWA in providing relief to the Palestinian people.
Oman reiterated its call on the importance of implementing the UN resolutions to supply urgent humanitarian relief aid to the Gaza Strip without obstacles.
