Urgent call made for plasma donation at Central Blood Bank

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has made an urgent appeal to people with AB (+ve) blood type to donate plasma at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar on Monday, July 1, 2024.

DBBS said in a statement: "We strongly encourage individuals with AB+ blood type to donate plasma at their earliest convenience at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar. Two critical patients are in urgent need of plasma, and your generous donation could make all the difference. Join the life-saving mission right away!"

The donation hours at the Central Blood Bank in Baushar are: Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am to 6 pm and on Friday from 8 am to 1 pm. For inquiries or to book an appointment to donate, please contact WhatsApp at 94555648," DBBS added.
