Oman, Türkiye sign MoU in higher education field

Ankara: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in higher education fields.

The MoU covers the exchange of scholarships, mutual accreditation of higher education institutions and knowledge transfer. It also includes organizing training courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences, forums and research studies.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye.

Meanwhile, the two sides held a session of talks. The outcomes of this session included recommendations to increase scholarships and student exchange between the two countries, among other recommendations.
