International forum in Muscat explores effective teaching and learning strategies

Muscat: The second edition of the Educational Research Forum, which began its activities in Muscat today, sought to present the best effective teaching and learning strategies, and enhance the professional development of teachers through educational research.

The forum, which was held under the auspices of Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, aims to open new avenues of knowledge for educational researchers, by highlighting the latest applications and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and their uses in improving the quality of education and employing future skills in education.

The forum, with the participation of international organizations and researchers from various institutions, seeks to exchange experiences, develop educational knowledge, enhance the participation of international organizations, local institutions, and public and private universities, and benefit from the procedural research produced by members of the Specialized Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers at the level of training programmes.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Education, represented by the Specialized Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers, and Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Sciences (ONCECS), with the participation of a number of international organizations, the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and a number of governmental and private higher education institutions.

The forum included the presentation of a number of workshops entitled “Employing Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Research” and a workshop entitled “Organizing and Analyzing International Data”, in addition to a workshop entitled “Mixed Methods Research”.
