Directives to launch a national programme for early detection of cancer cases among women

Muscat: The Council of Ministers also gave directives to launch a national programme for early detection of the most common cancer cases among women by establishing 7 early detection units covering all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to expanding nuclear medicine services by establishing a radioisotope production facility and a nuclear pharmacy to cover the rising demand for radiopharmaceutical isotopes to diagnose and treat patients with cancer.
