Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host the Omani-Indian Business Forum in Muscat on Sunday to enhance economic cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India.
The forum will focus on vital sectors including renewable energy, hydrogen, real estate development, future cities, food security, and tourism.
The forum will feature discussion sessions highlighting joint investment opportunities in the targeted sectors, and showcase successful models of bilateral investments.
Participants will also be presented with Indian experience in the growth of instant payments and their impact on enhancing financial inclusion, contributing to the exchange of expertise and exploring new economic cooperation horizons.
The forum reflects the mutual commitment of both friendly countries to strengthening economic relations and investing in promising opportunities for mutual development.
Dr. Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthi, a board member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the forum marks an important step in enhancing economic relations between the two friendly countries, contributing to the expansion of cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
In an interview with Oman News Agency, he added that the forum will present investment projects aimed at achieving sustainable economic development and will highlight efforts to improve infrastructure and create a competitive investment environment through presentations by the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, and the Invest in Oman Hall.
