ISWK celebrates India's 76th Republic Day with pride & patriotism

Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) commemorated the 76th Indian Republic Day with enthusiasm, patriotism, and cultural splendor on the primary school ground. The occasion brought together students, parents, staff, and distinguished guests in a vibrant celebration of India’s rich heritage and democratic spirit.

The theme for this year’s Republic Day, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Development), celebrated India’s cultural legacy and its progressive strides in development.
The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Arvind Toprani, a distinguished businessman and community leader. As the Managing Director of Golden Grains Trading LLC and an active contributor to organizations such as ISWK, the Hindu Temple, and Muscat Gujarati Samaj, Mr. Toprani has consistently exemplified a commitment to unity and progress. Addressing the audience, he commended the students for their spirited performances and emphasized the significance of Republic Day in fostering unity and reinforcing democratic values.

Accompanying Mr. Toprani were the chief patrons - Sheikh Anil Khimji and Mr. Kiran Asher, Mr. Rajendra Ved – executive director of the school management committees of ISWK CBSE and ISWK Cambridge, Mr. Alkesh Joshi – assistant executive director, the presidents of ISWK CBSE and ISWK Cambridge, Mr. Sachin Toprani and Ms. Gargi Chugh respectively, esteemed representatives from the Embassy of India, members of the Hindu Mahajan Association, members of the Educational Cell, members of the School Management Committees of ISWK CBSE & ISWK Cambridge, the Board of Directors, and other notable dignitaries. Also present on the momentous occasion were the school principal, Mr. D. N. Rao, Vice Principals and the staff of ISWK CBSE and ISWK Cambridge.

The celebration began with the symbolic release of tri-colored balloons, followed by the singing of the Indian national anthem, which evoked a deep sense of patriotism. A dignified Guard of Honour, led by Master Samarth Pramod Pujari, Head Boy of ISWK Cambridge, set the tone for the proceedings. The event also featured an impressive march past by contingents from both the CBSE and Cambridge wings, exemplifying discipline and teamwork.

The school choir of the senior wing of ISWK CBSE captivated the audience with a melodious rendition of a patriotic song- ‘Bela Hain Balidaan Ki’, while the tiny tots of the primary wing of ISWK enthralled everyone present with a vibrant dance performance titled , ‘Tirange Ki Chhaon Mein’ .  ‘Mati Ko Ma Kahete Hain’ was the title of the energetic dance performance showcased by the dancers of the senior wing of ISWK CBSE. A mellifluous recital was presented by the primary wing of ISWK CBSE - ‘Kesariya Bharat’.  The dancers of ISWK Cambridge seamlessly blended elegance, passion and patriotic zeal in the finale dance, emphasizing the message of unity in diversity. Each learner declared with joy and pride that though he belonged to a different state, he was just like any other Indian, underscoring the shared bond of being Indian.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by light refreshments. The celebration left an indelible mark on the minds and hearts of all present, instilling a profound sense of pride and unity.

Through this grand celebration, Indian School Wadi Kabir reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young minds, fostering democratic values, and instilling a deep sense of pride in India’s identity.
