Muscat: In an unprecedented sale, a Vodafone mobile number, 77777777, has fetched a record-breaking OMR 429,500 at auction in Oman. This is the highest price ever recorded for a mobile number in the country.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced that this auction was the first to feature the number 77777777. The auction included a total of 200 premium numbers from Vodafone, comprising 171 diamond numbers and 29 gold numbers. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to charitable causes.
